I, too, am Mum- and school-taught re sewing, and I have yet to try a coat, but having bought some delicious fabric for a coat/jacket for my partner (and now living in a much more coat/jacket friendly (necessary?) environment than Brisbane - we now live at Goodwood Island, on the Clarence River with amazing views and peace and quiet and ferocious winds), it might yet happen this decade!! Fabulous, just fabulous!
