A5 Notebook Covers

Have a look at these little newbies. I had them at the North Melbourne Market just gone and I was really happy with the response they got.

They're made 100% from fabric from my fabric stash because I'm trying to reuse and recycle where possible.

As I've mentioned before I'm switching to organic fabrics so they'll soon be made from the new fabric.

They have a unique button closure so each cover is a one off.

They easily fit A5 notebooks and diaries.

I still love this fabric heaps but I don't think I can get hold of it again. Fingers crossed that I do!

There are two pockets on the inside cover so you can keep your pen, pencil or eraser safe.

You can order one online here.

Etsy Excitement

I know I get excited about pretty much anything but this really is exciting. I've finally opened my Etsy shop. (*applause and hoorahs*) It's already so much fun - I got my first order a couple hours after listing my items. I personally thought they'd all sit there for a couple of weeks at least. So I was off to the post shop early this morning. If you want to have a look at my shop click the Etsy badge on the left. That's right I also worked out (finally!) how to add badges to this blog. Hopefully more to come. It's amazing what instructions you can find on the web. Ah bless.

TaDaa! My New Logo

So what do you think? It's been a while in the making and I can't wait to put it on everything! The next step is getting new labels designed for the wheatbags incorporating the logo. In the meantime I'll have fun putting it onto my invoice and order tracking templates and feeling like a real grownup with a good looking company ;) Probably the most exciting thing is that I now have banners for my online shops so I have no excuse in getting them up and runnning.
A huge thanks to the ever patient Christie Blizzard who did the graphic design work for the logo. She had to put up with me changing my mind every 2 seconds but here we are. Christie's a clever lass who has a graphic design business as well as running her own children's accessories business called BOWtique. Check it out if you've got young ones - it's gorgeous stuff!

In case you're wondering about the tree I'll explain a little. Besides being a nod to one of my favourite things it represents the future direction I eventually want Emiti to take. I'm currently working on a new range of products (more about that very soon) which I'm working towards being as environmentally friendly as possible whilst still being pretty gorgeous products I love. I'm having lots of fun investigating different types of fabric like 100% certified organic linen, hemp and organic cotton blends and a few others that I didn't even know existed until now. It's a slow process but I'm determined to do my bit for this world that I love and respect everyday. Hence the tree :) I also wanted the logo to convey the fun, whimsical aspect to Emiti that reperesents me and therefore the products I make. After all if you can't have fun doing what you do I say why do it? So here's to fun, play and being creative everyday!

Meet Oswald

This is Oswald the Owl. I made this little guy while manning a market stall recently and he was named by one of my neighbours. Ain't he cute?
He's one of Craft Schmaft's creations and I ordered the baby owl kit to try. I just love the tin that the needle and thread came in. It's the little touches that make a product great. It was such a joy to receive him in the post and an even bigger joy to bring him to life.

A Little Bit Of Sci-Fi on the Side

Hehe I couldn't resist adding these here. I had so much fun being an alien for a day on my friends TV pilot called Rented Space. Its a sci-fi comedy and it is going to look amazing. I'm standing here with the character of Merlin (the actor may or may not be my lovely boyfriend :P)
Yes the wig was heavy but I didn't mind wearing it as how COOL is it! :) Maybe I should grow 4ft long plaits....
