I just discovered SpoonFlower

I feel like a child just discovering Christmas. SpoonFlower is a company who will print any design you upload onto fabric! So essentially you can design and print your own fabric - how cool is that! Plus you can order as little as one metre. Even better. I cannot wait to have a play. In the meantime here are two fabrics that I liked (yes you can put your design up for sale!)

I've been having fun of late using iphone apps to take photographs and I wanted to share these with you. The flowers are from Fitzroy Therapeutics where I stock my wheatbags. They always have such a beautiful collection of flowers throughout the clinic I can't help but take photos of them everytime I'm there! I'm a sucker for a good floral arrangement.

I've rekindled my love of photography lately. I used to love it when I had my film SLR camera but it developed a problem of only developing every 3rd or 4th picture. Frustrating! And no one was able to fix it so I just stopped taking photos. Now 2 years down the track I'm keen to get back into it - I especially love landscape photography and at the other end of the scale I love macro photos. So who knows hopefully Santa can help me out with a new digital camera. Hehe. Plus I could take some awesome product shots of course! Speaking of products I know I haven't posted much of my wok of late and that's because I've been busily developing new and fun things which I'm almost finished with so hopefully next week I can start sharing!

New Mushroom Cards

I love mushrooms. No really I do. And fungus in general really. I love the colours, the shapes, their texture, the way they pop up in a random piece of grass or hang off a good tree stump. There are lots of mushrooms popping up in the park at the moment. I love poking at them and there's some at the moment that pop like a balloon when you stand on them.
Look at that amazing orange colour!
So here's a little sneak peek of some cute handrawn and coloured cards I have coming out in the next week or so.
They're gift card size and they come with an envelope but I'll put up a post with proper photos soon - just wanted to let you in on my current mushroom obsession!

Making Ideas Happen

I wanted to share with you this video. Its on Scott Belsky and the concepts he talks about in his best selling book Making Ideas Happen. It's a great video to watch if you're a creative who has brilliant ideas and puts all their time and energy into getting them up and running... but then you run out of steam before they're a reality and then a new idea hits and bam! off you go again. I must say I'm very guilty at this. I've gotten better over the years at following through ideas until completion but I love the way Scott explains why we go through this process and how to avoid never following through! Enjoy.
