Wheatbags and More Wheatbags

I took these photos of my wheatbags before they got dropped in at one of the stores I sell at. Its the last run of this fabric so I wanted to remember them . I love the way they look stacked up.

This week will be sewing week as I have another order to sell and lots of bags to make for the Blackbird Market coming up May 15th. Here's my new fabrics. At this rate I'll get to buy more soon. Yay! Shopping. My favourite part.

Markets Markets Markets

Yay! I have some very exciting news. I've been accepted into the Blackbird Market held in Fitzroy every month. It's a very cute market and I can't wait to play. It's been held on May 15th so I hope you can make it down. Check out http://blackbirdmarket.com/

I also popped into the North Melbourne Market on the weekend and had lots of fun wandering around looking at everything. I was very well behaved and managed to walk away with only buying one art print, lots of buttons and some fat quarters. I'll post a photo of them soon.

I'm busy sewing away at the moment getting a new order for wheatbags filled that came in this morning. Good thing I went fabric shopping on Monday! It's perfect timing so now I can start my new batch with my new fabrics. yay!

I'm off to Perth this weekend so enjoy your weekend!

At the moment I'm investigating making a series of unique lamps to add to my collection and I pulled this book off my shelf to brush up on some sewing techniques.

I've had it for years, ever since I 'borrowed' it off my mum's bookshelf. It was only today that I started to wonder how old it is. It turns out it's from 1976. Sweet. The whole layout of the book is very 70's too so I probably should've noticed that sooner. Yay! I own a book that's over 30 years old. And it's so handy too. Hopefully mum doesn't want it back....

Little Miss Teapot

I've recently discovered that I love teapots. Or maybe its the actual tea drinking part. No I'm pretty sure it's also the teapots. They're so cute!

This is my latest one which was a present from my lovely boyfriend. He bought it because the twirls reminded him of a motif I use in my drawings. At the moment my favourite tea is a combination of chamomile, calendula, fennel and raspberry. Yum!

Sign artist?

I've been playing around today painting a few signs to use as my blog title. This was my favourite. I have a bit of thing for turqouise and I may be a little obsessed as most of the things in my room are this colour. The background is one of my floor length skirts and I love it because I feel like a gypsy when I wear it. Great for twirling in!

Hello and Welcome!

How exciting. This is my first post. I'm still working out how all of this works as I've never had a blog before but so far so good. I'm certainly learning fast. I can't wait to share all my new adventures with you. This blog is part of a very busy period as I get my products ready for market. I have 4 weeks until my first market where I will sell my wheatbags and eyepillows which I have been making for almost a year now. They've just started selling at Fitzroy Therapeautics and I will post some photos very soon.

These are from my current batch of wheatbags. They have the old label on them as I'm working on a new label that will have a new design. So stay tuned and as soon as I've designed it I'll pop it up here.

I just love this pink fabric.
