This week I got given the most beautiful bunch of flowers from my lovely best friend Lou. What was especially good was that she choose her own flowers rather than a pre-made bunch which I always think works better. Lou chose red gladioli, pink lillies finished off with eucalptus leaves.
I've never been one to mix native foliage with 'european flowers' like lillies but I really really liked the smokey green colour of the eucalyptus combined with the pale pink of the lillies. Just gorgeous! I'm declaring the eucalyptus leaves a new favourite.
